Faye Vernon

1949-2017

Faye Vernon, born in Oneida, TN, on March 28, 1949, passed away Thursday, April 6, 2017. Faye had lived in Danville, KY for over 40 years where she had owned a video store, carpet store and a furniture store.

She was preceded in death by her husbands Rick Worthington and Rocky Vernon; her father, Chester Foster; and her son, Doug Foster.

Faye is survived by her mother Katherine Foster; daughter Darcye Worthington and Darcye’s best friend Fran Belcher, both of Hustonville, KY; sons David Foster of Pennington Gap, VA, Danny Fred Robinson of Dryden, VA, Glen Darvis Robinson of Pennington Gap, VA, and Dyrone Wothington of Pennington Gap, VA; step-son Ronnie Dale Worthington of South Carolina. A special friend Pat Vest. Sisters Wanda Posey, Dixie Bundy, Barbara Austin, Stephanie Wilder; brother Buddy Foster and special sister-in-law Janet Foster of Harlan, KY. Grandchildren Matthew Foster, Kelli Foster, Daniel Robinson, Philip Scalf, Taylor Wood, Paige Worthington, Brayden Worthington, Mykah Worthington. Great-grandchildren Hayden Foster and Gannon Foster.

Family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel. Memorial service will follow at 6 p.m. with Rev. Bill Posey officiating.
