PERRYVILLE — Donna Fechter, director of Boyle County Department of Solid Waste Management has announced temporary days and hours of operation at the Perryville Convenience Center due to the construction of a new operator’s building beginning Thursday, April 13. Tentative completion of the project is May. 22.

During construction, the Perryville convenience center will be open 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays; and 7 a.m. to noon on Saturdays. The center will be closed on Wednesdays. On Good Friday, April 14, the center will be open from 7 a.m. to noon.

During construction, only 30-yard open tops will be available for use of disposal and no compactor boxes will be available. Traffic congestion is expected.

Due to this change in disposal options, the Boyle County Dept. of Solid Waste Managements is asking the public to: use the Perryville center only if absolutely necessary; drive safely, be patient and listen to instructions; and if at all possible, use the convenience centers at Mitchellsburg or Alum Springs, which are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays.

For all convenience center locations go to www.boyleky.com. For more information call Fechter at (859) 319-4803.
