Elsie Marie Holt Wofford

1933-2017

Elsie Marie Holt Wofford, 83, passed away Sunday, April 30, 2017. She was born in Danville on May 27, 1933 to the late Aubrey and Ella Baugh Holt. Elsie was the wife of 31 years to Estil Leon Wofford who passed away in 1983.

Elsie was previously employed by Cowden Manufacturing as a press operator. She was a member of Mitchellsburg Church of God and her passions were her grandchildren, gardening and tending to her flower beds. 

Survivors include three children, Randy (Sarah), Larry and Jeff Wofford; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; one sister Alma Plummer and three brothers Marvin, Farley and Billy Holt.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Stewart Lee Wofford, and a brother, Jack Holt.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 4, at Walden Funeral Home Perryville with burial to follow in Parksville Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Randy, Larry, Jeff, Jason and Larry Dean Wofford, and Rodney Holt. Honorary pallbearers will be Buddy Lutes and Steve Mitchell.
