The Advocate-Messenger has released a new lifestyle magazine highlighting the best things about the Danville-Boyle County community.

Danville Living will appear every other month; the May/June issue is out now. It is being mailed to a select list of households in the area, and will also be available in other outlets in the area.

“Danville Living has the same beautiful photography and positive, colorful features that you might find in a national magazine, but everything about it is local,” said Larry Hensley, publisher of the magazine. “Locals have known for a long time that Danville is a great place to live. Now Danville Living puts all the great stuff about our piece of the Bluegrass on display for you to enjoy.”

The first issue of Danville Living features five of the area’s most interesting Airbnb locations; an in-depth feature on Burkmann Nutrition’s new pet store and the family-owned company’s 38-year history in Danville; book recommendations from local Boyle County librarians; social photos from the biggest events around town; do-it-yourself instructions for repainting your old end table; and much more.

Every Danville Living also features a local non-profit that’s doing good in the community and lets you know how you can help.

“You can pick up Danville Living and enjoy a relaxing, fun read that hopefully shows you new things about your community you didn’t know before,” said Ben Kleppinger, editor. “You can also share it with friends or leave it out on your coffee table to impress guests — it’s a beautiful magazine.”
