STANFORD — Blue Grass Community Action is asking for donations of new or gently used air conditioners and fans for the people in need in Lincoln County. BGCAP is also accepting monetary donations to purchase these items.

BGCAP serves the most disadvantaged and disabled individuals and strives to help them become more self-reliant. A doctor’s statement is required in order to provide a household with an air conditioner or fan. BGCAP is the only organization in Lincoln County which provides this service and funds are depleted.

All donations to BGCAP are tax-deductible and 100 percent goes directly to client assistance. To make a donation call community developer Jamie Greathouse at (606) 365-2312, or drop off donations at 201 East Main St., Suite 5, Stanford. Receipts for tax purposes will be provided to the donor.
