Candlelight vigil remembers missing and murdered

A celebration of life and a candlelight vigil were held at the Garden Club in Junction City Saturday night.
The vigil was held to remember Michael Gorley, Linda Price, Crystal Rogers, Anna Manning, Desiree Sparks, Crystal Warner, Bobby Jones, Casey Bowling, Whitney Copley and many more people who have either gone missing or were murdered — about 75 in all. Family members came from other states to remember their loved ones.
There was a live band during the day. Following the candlelight vigil, which was forced inside because of the wind, some sky lanterns were sent up for each person.

Wind and threatening clouds forced a portion of the candlelight vigil to move indoors. The family of Desiree Sparks, found in Lincoln County after having disappeared, was present as well. She was one of the 75 missing or murdered names read aloud as candles were lit.
