Alice Jewell Richardson Robinette

Alice Jewell Richardson Robinette, 77, widow of Charles E. Robinette, died May 23, 2017 at her residence in Lancaster, KY. Born May 13, 1940 in Johnson City, TN, she was the daughter of the late Gordon E. and Lucy Williams Richardson.

Mrs. Robinette was a graduate of Danville Vocational School and employed 20 years as a home health nurse. She was a member of First Christian Church and the Women’s Democratic Party. Her hobbies included sewing, refinishing furniture and following the University of Tennessee basketball Volunteers. Survivors include five children, William E. “Bill” Towers, Las Cruces, NM, Kimberly K. Benjamin, San Antonio, TX, Morgan Robinette, Lancaster, KY, Carolyn Slugantz, Nicholasville, KY and Barbara Gent, Lexington, KY; a brother, Ernest Richardson, Horsham, West Sussex, England; six grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Gladys Richardson; and a brother, Ralph Richardson.

No visitation is planned. Inurnment will take place 12:30 p.m. Tues., May 30 at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Road handling arrangements.
