Our featured pets for this week are Fancy and Barry.

Fancy

Fancy is a beautiful 5-year-old domestic shorthair cat. She has a shiny black coat with tuxedo markings, which means white on her face, chest and paws. Fancy had a home, but her owner could no longer care for her cats and Fancy was surrendered to the humane society. Fancy appears to have been well cared for and she is an affectionate girl that is declawed and needs an indoor only home. Can you offer this pretty green-eyed feline another chance at her forever family?

Barry is a noble-looking brown and white hound mix that was brought to the humane society as a stray. He appears to be about 7 years old and one of our volunteers has identified Barry as an English Coonhound. He certainly is a sweet fellow and he has been to our PetSmart adoption center a couple times and always displayed good manners. Barry just hasn’t met his perfect match quite yet, so come for a visit and see if he’d be the perfect fit for your family!

This Saturday at 12:30 p.m. is our monthly DBCHS obedience class. The class is held inside the service department at the Stuart Powell Ford Dealership on the U.S. 127 Danville Bypass. The class is free for those who have adopted from a shelter or rescue. Others are welcome to attend for a small donation to the Humane Society. If you would like to attend please pre-register for the class by emailing dbchs@bellsouth.net or you may call the humane society at (859) 238-1117. Space is limited so please sign up by Friday at noon. We hope to see you on Saturday!

Low-cost, high-quality spay/neuter surgery is available for pet owners with low and fixed incomes. Call our Happy Paws Clinic today at (859) 691-1137 for an appointment. Please help control pet over-population by having your pet spayed or neutered.
