Boil water advisory for Clifton Road

Published 1:15 pm Sunday, June 4, 2017

Danville has issued a boil water advisory for approximately 35 customers along Clifton Road.

The advisory was issued at 1 p.m. Sunday and affects water customers from 2175 Clifton Road to Ky. 52. A 3-inch water line break is blamed for the advisory.

“Although no contamination has been confirmed, we recommend: Bring all water to a rolling boil, let it boil for three minutes and let it cool before using, or use bottled water,” the advisory reads. “Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes and food preparation until further notice. Boiling kills bacteria and other organisms in the water.”
