Hawk

Hawk is a very handsome 1-year-old orange tabby with white markings. Hawk was brought to the humane society because his family was moving and could not take their cats to the new home. Hawk is a friendly and social fellow and gets along great with other cats. He seems to adjust quickly to new surroundings and is just an all-around good fellow. Hawk is looking for a great family that will love him and not leave him behind if they need to relocate.

Raven

Raven is a sweet 2-year-old tri-colored Beagle that was turned into the humane society because “she won’t hunt”. Raven is a gentle soul and only weighs about 20 pounds. Instead of chasing rabbits, Raven would rather have a quiet voice tell her what a good girl she is and feed her a biscuit or two. Come and meet Raven and see if you would like to give her a chance to fulfill her dream occupation as house dog and loving companion.

As we get into the summer months and the temperatures rise, take some precautions to keep your pet safe. Always provide fresh, clean water for dogs and cats and make sure outdoor pets have a shady place to get out of the sun.  Exercise your pet during the cooler parts of the day, early morning or in the evening. Never leave your pet in a parked car when it’s warm out. A parked car will quickly become a furnace and lead to fatal heat stroke. With a little extra care and attention both you and your pet can have a fun and healthy summer!

Low-cost, high-quality spay/neuter surgery is available for pet owners with low and fixed incomes. Call our Happy Paws Clinic today at (859) 691-1137 for an appointment.  Please help control pet over-population by having your pet spayed or neutered.
