Clowning around town

Kolton Winfield, of Danville, brought ukulele music and twisted balloon-animal shapes for everyone who walked by the Boyle County Public Library Monday morning.

“If I can brighten someone’s Monday morning, then why not?” Winfield said.

He said he had been downtown earlier and got “mixed reactions” concerning his clown getup and music. He explained he had just returned from an “Artists Striving to End Poverty” conference in New York, where he met a performing artist who performs his work on Mondays. Winfield explained that since he is off on every other Monday (he works at Pioneer Playhouse), he thought it would be a fun thing to do locally to brighten people’s days.
