Adela “Del” Barral

1928-2017

Adela “Del” Barral, 89, of Stanford, KY passed away Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Danville Centre for Healthcare & Rehabilitation. Born March 4, 1928 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Denio Barral and Adela Vazquez Barral, she worked as a commercial artist for most of her life, and she enjoyed being a fine artist. She was also a member of the Christian Faith. Survivors include one son, Ali Bei (Ruthie) of Apopka, FL; two daughters, Adela “Delly” Drakeford (Woody) of Stanford, KY, Andria Bei of Kernersville, NC; one sister; Denia Barral of Hialeah, FL; four grandchildren, Andrew Murray (Erica), Emily Cayton (Steve), Deno Bei, and Alina Kimbrough; five great-grandchildren, Max, Travis, Penelope, Molly, and Oliver; and one nephew, Carlos Trujillo. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Alina Himelick; one granddaughter; Nikki Blanton; and one sister, Yolanda Wheeler.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel, Stanford from 2-5 p.m. with a memorial service beginning at 5 p.m. A private family interment will be held at a later date.
