Family Services releases quarterly report

The Family Services Association of Boyle County Inc. recently released its quarterly report to the public.

For direct financial assistance, the total amount of individuals served was 267; of those, 89 were 17 years old and younger; and 62 of them were 55 years old and older. Referrals and other non-financial assistance included a total of 40 individuals served; with 16 of those children 17 and younger; and 8 of them 55 and older.

The association provides short-term financial assistance to those experiencing a temporary financial emergency, and also assists clients in identifying other programs and services that can contribute to their financial stability on a long term basis.

Bradfordsville to have fund raiser

BRADFORDSVILLE — The Bradfordsville Jamboree will be Friday, July 14 at the old Bradfordsville school gym. Doors open at 5 p.m. and music begins at 7 p.m. Entertainment by Kentucky South Band (Phillip Clarkson) with special guest, Laura Cook Mattingly. A meal of pulled pork barbecue, baked beans, potato salad, dessert and drink is $9 and other concessions will be sold. All proceeds will go toward the upkeep of the building.
