Meet Dr. McDowell and Mini-Tour, 3 p.m. Friday at McDowell House Museum, Danville. Children and their families will “meet” pioneering surgeon Dr. Ephraim McDowell and hear about his amazing medical feat accomplished on Christmas Day 1809. Then they will be treated to a brief tour of his home.
