Revival

HUSTONVILLE — There will be a revival at Charity First Church of God on College Street in Hustonville Aug. 16-20. Special music begins at 6:30 p.m. and the service begins at 7 p.m. Bro. Dan Frederick will deliver the message. Pastor is Marvin Hatton.

MORELAND — Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church, Moreland, will have its annual homecoming on Sunday, Aug. 13. The 3 p.m. speaker and guests will be Rev. Kenneth Golphin and members of the Quinn Chapel A.M.E. Church of Lexington. Dinner will be served at 1:30 p.m. 

Church services

BRODHEAD — The Philadelphia United Baptist Church, 834 Bryant Ridge Road in Brodhead services this month include: Sundays, 10 a.m., Sunday School, 11 a.m. church service and 6 p.m. evening service; Bible study, 7 p.m. Wednesday nights. Church service is held at Brodhead Nursing Home on the first Sunday of the month. Special singing will be on the fourth Sunday of the month. Everyone is welcome. Guest singers on Aug. 27 will be the Mountain View Blue Grass Gospel.

Southern Heirs to sing at Mt. Salem

Southern Heirs of Russell County will be singing at Mt. Salem Baptist Church at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 13. Everyone is invited to attend.
