Dear Editor, 

On behalf of the Soul of 2nd Street Festival planning committee, I would like to thank everyone who participated in this year’s event. The event was a huge success with 2,000-plus attendees over the two days of festivities. The outstanding support confirms that the people of Boyle County embrace our community’s shared history and diversity. 

I especially want to thank our sponsors for their generous donations. Sponsors included Farmers National Bank; Maple Tree Gallery; Wilma Brown; Goldie Financial Services; The Hub Coffee House & Café; Jane Barleycorn’s Market, Bistro & Bar; Perryville Lions Club; and Stith Funeral Home. Their generosity is a testament to the community support of this festival. 

I would also like to give a special thank you to the many volunteers who contributed to the event’s success. Without the help of volunteers this, or any of Danville-Boyle County’s treasured events, would not be possible.
