The following people were indicted by a Casey County grand jury on Aug. 11:

• Anna Laura Scott, 48, 4056 Jonathan Fork Road, Liberty: first-degree possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, third or more offense; possession of drug paraphernalia; possession of marijuana. Bail was set at $5,000 cash. Deputy Chad Weddle with the Casey County Sheriff’s Office testified.

• Timothy Carl Huber, 44, 525 Walnut Hill Road, Liberty: first-degree possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine; driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Bail was set at $1,500 cash only. Weddle testified. He was also indicted for first-degree possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine; possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set a $1,500 cash only. Weddle testified.

• Jeffrey Brian Johnson, 28, 1142 Malone Cemetery Road, Bradfordsville: receiving stolen property between $500 and $10,000; first-degree being a persistent felony offender. Bail was set at $2,500 cash or property. Sheriff Jerry Coffman with the Casey County Sheriff’s Office testified.

• Michael Lee Turpin, 33, 11445 U.S. 127, Hustonville: second-degree arson for allegedly starting a fire or causing an explosion in a building that was used as a garage/apartment, with the intent to destroy or damage the building. Bail was set at $10,000 cash only. Coffman testified.

• Richard Clyde Payton, 47, 50 Creston Water Tower Spur, Liberty: second-degree arson for allegedly starting a fire or causing an explosion in a mobile home with the intent to destroy it. Bail was set at $10,000 cash only. Coffman testified

• Joshua M. Weddle, 38, 163 Weddle Drive, Liberty: DUI fourth or greater offense within 10 years; driving on DUI-suspended license; possession of drug paraphernalia; illegal possession of a legend drug; third-degree possession of a controlled substance; failure to wear a seat belt. Bail was set at $5,000 cash or property. Lt. Ronnie Smith with the Liberty Police Department testified.

• Deborah Jo Smith, 48, 197 Lewis Ave., Liberty: first-degree possession of controlled substance, methamphetamine, second offense; possession of drug paraphernalia; public intoxication with narcotics. A summons will be served. Chief Steve Garret with the Liberty Police Department testified.

• Justin Lee Adams, 33, 5872 Ky. 837, Kings Mountain: possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. A summons will be served. Casey County Constable Ralph Mondie testified.
