Alumni Association to hold yearly tailgate party

The Boyle County High School Alumni Association is hosting the yearly tailgate event at the high school on Sept. 8, before the Boyle County home game against Wayne County.

Social time is 4:30-5 p.m., dinner is from 5-6:30 p.m. and the game begins at 7 p.m.

Dinner will be prepared by Hill n’ Beans. Meal cost will be $9 for those who do not preregister by Aug. 29.

Email Kathy Belcher at kathybelcher@bellsouth.net for a form to preregister, which must then be mailed with payment to BCHS Alumni P.O. Box 713, Danville, KY 40423. Also email Belcher for a distinguished alumni form.

Clifton Road water maintenance

The City of Danville Water Distribution Department will be performing water line maintenance beginning at 8 a.m. Monday, Aug. 28, which will affect water service for Clifton Road. Once water service is restored, those affected by the maintenance will be under a boil water advisory until further notice. Call the Danville Water Treatment Plant at (859) 238-1241 with any questions. 

Change in Grand Theatre’s season 

The Lancaster Grand Theatre will not be presenting “Peter Pan-A 3D” as the theater had listed in the story about it’s 2017-18 season that printed Friday. Due to a scheduling conflict, the show previously planned for May 3 is canceled from the season.
