“The Case For Christ” movie showing and study groups

First Baptist Church is showing the movie “The Case For Christ” at 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept 10, at the church located at 1570 North Danville Bypass. Then it will host a six-week study in small groups based on this movie beginning at 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 17 at the church. The movie and study groups will help participants answer questions and confront any doubts they may have about the Christian faith. Third anniversary

New Birth Temple of Deliverance Ministries, 2760 Perryville Road in Danville will be celebrating its third year anniversary at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 10. Guest preacher and church will be Pastor Donald Smith and Gospel Word Church from Nicholasville. Everyone is invited. Pastor is John D. Short III.

Homecoming service

Willow Grove Baptist Church, located on U.S. 150 in Danville, will be celebrating its annual homecoming on Sunday, Oct. 1. The worship service is 10 a.m. to noon, followed by a fellowship meal. The Danville Seventh-Day Adventist Church is hosting the “From Wanting to Winning Your Weight Loss Program” 6:30 p.m. Thursdays, beginning Sept. 7 through Oct. 5.

New Horizon 10th anniversary

New Horizon Missionary Baptist Church will be celebrating its 10-year church anniversary on Sunday, Sept. 10. A morning service will be 11:30 a.m. and the afternoon service will begin at 4:30 p.m. The afternoon preacher and guest church will be Pastor Jimmie Williams and the First Baptist Church of Woodburn, Kentucky.
