Martina McBride opens Norton Center’s new concert series

Country music superstar Martina McBride performed to a packed house at the Norton Center in Danville Friday night. McBride is a multiple Grammy Award nominee, earning more than 15 major music awards including four wins for Female Vocalist of the Year from the Country Music Association, and three from the Academy of Country Music for Top Female Vocalist. She’s sold over 18 million albums to date, including 20 Top 10 singles and six No. 1 hits. McBride now joins “the elite club” of country music legends who have performed at NortonCenter, says its executive director, Steve Hoffman. Past performances include Dolly Parton, Wynonna, Lee Anne Womack, Amy Grant, and Alison Krauss.
