Singing

STANFORD — Harris Creek Baptist Church will have a singing at 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 17 with The Kentucky Pluckers. Ronnie Lee is pastor.

First Baptist Church Second and Walnut Street will have appreciation services for the Usher Ministry on Sunday, Sept. 17. Guests for the 3 p.m. service will be Dr. Felix Williams, III, and the choir and congregation from Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, Lexington. Everyone is invited to worship with us.

Blue Lick Baptist Homecoming

STANFORD — Blue Lick Baptist Church will have its annual Homecoming on Sunday, Sept. 17. Special music will be provided by Chad Godbey. A potluck lunch will also be served about 12 noon. Come and join us for a good time of fellowship and food.

‘Send the Fire’ meeting

Perryville United Methodist Church is inviting the public to its “Send the Fire Meeting” beginning at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21 through Saturday, Sept. 23 and 11 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 24. Evangelist will be Dan Frederick and special music will be each night. The church is located at 206 East Second St. in Perryville.

Discipleship classes

First Baptist Church, located at 1570 North Danville Bypass, has announced its Discipleship classes that begin at 5 p.m. on Sept. 17. Classes include: The Apostle’s Creed, led by Dr. Tim Mathis; “We’ve Sved you a Seat” led by Mandy Hagans; “The Case for Christ” led by Joan Mann; “G.K. Chesterton” led by Lauren Clontz; and “Financial Peace University” led by Robert and Leighanne Kramp. Activities and classes are also available for children. Pig Roast

BRYANTSVILLE — New Journey Baptist Church is having a pig roast in memory of Vernon Helton from 4-7 p.m. on Saturday, Sept 30. There will be free food and live music. The church is located off of U.S. 27 next to Subway in Bryantsville. Everyone is invited.

Men’s and Women’s Day

PERRYVILLE — First Baptist Church Perryville is having Men’s and Women’s Day on Sunday, Sept. 17. Guests will be from Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Shepherdsville. Rev. Keith Meriwether will lead the 11:15 a.m. service and Rev. Billy G. Jenkins will lead the 3 p.m. service. Dinner will be served following the morning service. The public is invited to both services. All donations will be used for the Amelia Sleet-Burton Colored Schoolhouse building fund.
