As the sun glowed through a blanket of fog in downtown Danville Friday morning and people hurried to work and school, nature began waking up in a peaceful garden at the Boyle County Public Library. Lethargic carpenter bees covered in dew drops cling to the tall stems of sweet-smelling Russian Sage before the sun and breeze dry them off in order to begin buzzing around the flowers again. And clusters of bright red fruit of a Kousa dogwood tree at the library hang amongst dew covered leaves. One could see an intricate and thick spider web attached to a boxwood that catches large and small droplets of water. And peeking from underneath the purple Russian Sage flowers, a Drift Rose is a splash of bright pink color.
