Ephraim McDowell Health name used in phone scams

Many residents in the area have notified Ephraim McDowell Health that they have been getting phone calls that are represented as being from Ephraim McDowell trying to help them get credit cards, or asking for personal financial information, or other questionable topics. Ephraim McDowell did not make these calls. We encourage folks not to provide any personal information to these callers.

 Ephraim McDowell may call patients to conduct satisfaction surveys, or to follow-up on a patient’s care and provide further information regarding their care at home, but will never call asking for private information or trying to sell a product. 

Garrard Middle School now serving supper 

Supper is now being served at Garrard Middle School 3-5 p.m. Monday-Thursday. All kids ages 2-18 eat free of charge. Adult meals are $3.75. For a menu, please email deronda.sears@garrard.kyschools.us

Danville-Boyle County Convention and Visitors Bureau — 9 a.m., Monday, Sept. 25 at Grayson’s Tavern, 105 East Walnut St. Items on the agenda include: reports from chairman, executive director, new business, hotels and restaurants. Next meeting will be Oct. 2 for the hotel feasibility kick off.

Danville Boyle County Human Rights Commission — 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 25 at the Boyle County Courthouse, in the fiscal court room on the first floor. Please arrive promptly and enter by the Fourth Street entrance. The Human Rights Commission is established to hear all complaints and concerns of community citizens related to violations of their human rights.
