Judie (McLane) Dowell

1942-2017

Judie (McLane) Dowell, 75, of Waynesburg, passed away Thursday, October 5th, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Medical Center in Somerset. She was the wife of Freamon Dowell whom she married on March 18, 1987. Judie was born in Pulaski County on May 2, 1942, a daughter of the late Irene (Purvis) and Harvey McLane. She was a former waitress for Frisch’s Restaurant in Somerset. 

Survivors Include Husband of 30 Years, Freamon Dowell; Daughter, Tonya (Mike) Simpson; Daughter, Melissa Harrison: Son, Glen Harrison; Daughter, Hope Harrison; Son, Michael Downs; Son, Doug (Crystal) Dowell; Son, Paul Dowell; Son, Rodney Dowell; Daughter, Kimberly Dowell; Daughter, April Dowell; a Sister, Faye Moore. 

In addition to her parents, Judie was preceded in death by a Son, Michael Harrison and Sisters, Shirley Godsett & Brenda McLane.

Pallbearers are Doug Dowell, Matt Blanton, Bruce Hollon, Anthony Trent, Jamar Williams and Dustin McKinley.

Funeral Service 11:00 AM on Tuesday, at McKnight Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Blythe officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5 PM on Monday at McKnight Funeral Home.
