1926-2017

Ines Owens Jenkins, 91, of Danville died Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2017 at her home. Born May 3, 1926 in Ohio, she was the widow of Earl F. Jenkins and daughter of the late Vanroe and Margaret Owens.

She is survived by two daughters, Barbara (Woody) Randolph of Moreland and Debbie Jenkins Cook of Danville; two sisters, Iva Jean Stevens of Paris and Ina Dean (J.R.) Linville of Cincinnati and a brother, Anthony (Joyce) Owens of Seminole, FL; five grandchildren, Kimberly (Cecil Jr.) Dillard of Hustonville, Dr. Michael Shane (Tammy) Randolph of Moreland, Jennifer (Carroll) Smith of Middleburg, Kristi Jo (Tim) Blakemore of Bryantsville and David R. (Leslie) Cook of Brodhead; six great-grandchildren, Joshua (Heather) Sallee and Holly Funkhouser, all of Hustonville, Jonathon and Jacob Randolph of Moreland, Tucker Smith of Middleburg and Joseph Blakemore of Bryantsville; two great-great-grandchildren, Lucas and Taylor Sallee of Hustonville, six step great-grandchildren, Spencer Timberlake, Hannah (Cameron) Honaker and Courtney (Calvin) Hamilton, all of Lincoln County, Cecilia Dillard of Lexington, Merranda (Kyle) Rhodus and Laiton Dillard, all of Stamping Ground and two step great-great-grandchildren, Nora Kate and Mayhan Timberlake of Lincoln County. 

Ines was predeceased by two sisters, Dorthy Ray and Betty Bishop and two brothers, Roy and Hugo Owens. 

She was a longtime employee of Corning Glass Works in Danville, a retiree of North American Phillips of Danville and owner with her husband of the former Cold Springs Inn restaurant and gift shop at Hall’s Gap. She was a member of Hedgeville Baptist Church. 

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 21, 2017 at the Fox & Friend Funeral Home in Stanford with the Bro. Jonathan Grizzell officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Dr. Shane Randolph and David Cook and great-grandsons, Joshua Sallee, Jonathon and Jacob Randolph and Tucker Smith. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday, October 20, 2017 at the funeral home.
