Dazzling Dribblers program starts soon

Children and basketball just seem to go hand-in-hand. That’s evident with the success of the Dazzling Dribblers program offered by McDowell Wellness Center.

The Dazzling Dribblers program has long been a favorite offering during the winter months in Boyle County. This year’s program will begin Wednesday, Nov. 8 at Hogsett Elementary School gymnasium and continue each Wednesday from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.

The Dazzling Dribblers program is offered to boys and girls who are in kindergarten through fifth grade. The program is non-competitive, teaching participants the fundamental skills of basketball and basketball handling skills, at each individual’s own pace. Team members perform the skills learned during half-time at area basketball games. The cost to participate is $40, which includes a basketball, T-shirt and shorts. The cost is $35 each for a second and third child in the same family.

For more information, please call McDowell Wellness Center at (859) 936-WELL (9355).
