James Ernest Helton

1939-2017

James Ernest Helton, 78, passed away Saturday, October 28, 2017, at the Lebanon Health Care Center in Lebanon, Ohio. He was born in Garrard County on June 30, 1939, and was the son of the late E.L. Helton, Sr. and Lizzie (Cauldwell) Helton. James loved his family and loved to go to church. 

Survivors Include his Sister, Bessie Hawkins of Crab Orchard, Kentucky; Brother, E.L. Helton & Wife Thelma of Richmond, Kentucky; Brother, Jasper Helton & Wife Connie of Lebanon, Ohio; Brother, Robert Helton & Wife Jennie of Morrow, Ohio; Many nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by four brothers, Ira, Charlie, Ray & Dee Helton; three sisters, Naomi, Stella & Virgie. 

Pallbearers Include: Curtis & Earl Tankersley, David Helton, Shelby Brock, Cory, Bobby & Jim Bob Collett

Funeral Service 12 Noon, Friday, November 3, 2017, at McKnight Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Wright and Bro. Vernon Willard and Burial in the Crab Orchard Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 pm on Thursday, November 1, 2017 at McKnight Funeral Home.
