Dear Editor,

The Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) has been very busy greeting guests this fall. During the last three months, we saw over 600 visitors at Grayson’s Tavern. Most extraordinary was greeting visitors from Victoria and Tasmania, Australia; Paris; China; and Liverpool, England. It’s so exciting to be able to speak to people from all across Kentucky, the United States and the world.

Also, many events were held this fall at Constitution Square Historic Park. Orientation for 400 Centre students was held; 2,000 people attended the Soul of 2nd Street festival; 300 parents and children came out for Lawn Chair Theater nights; 100 youth attended Christian music night; over 50 descendants of Samuel McDowell held a reunion at the park; field trips for 160 students and a couple thousand runners came through the park during the Bourbon Chase.
