Burglary suspect found hiding in woods

News release 

PARKSVILLE — Saturday evening, the Boyle County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence in Parksville in reference to a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, the caller advised they witnessed a subject inside the residence as they pulled into the driveway. Once inside, it was found the subject had exited through a rear window fleeing on foot.

At 9:40 p.m., the suspect was apprehended hiding in a wooded area close to the residence. The suspect was identified as Jimmy Crews, 55, of Parksville.

Crews was taken to the Boyle County Detention Center charged with burglary second-degree, fleeing/evading police first-degree and resisting arrest. All items taken were found inside a vehicle parked in the driveway of the residence. The vehicle was observed in the area a short time before the incident occurred, driving slowing in front of the residence.
