McClure doesn’t appear in Boyle Circuit Court because in Lincoln jail

A man scheduled to appeared before the Boyle County Circuit Court on Tuesday could not because he was incarcerated in the Lincoln County Regional Jail.

Austin McClure, 22, of Stanford is facing multiple charges after a July 12 pursuit which began in Danville and led Boyle County deputies into Hustonville, including wanton endangerment, fleeing or evading police in a motor vehicle or on foot, unlawful imprisonment and failure to maintain required insurance.

McClure was released on bond on  Aug. 4.

He was arrested at 2:15 p.m. on Nov. 1 by the Kentucky State Police. According to Trooper Robert Purdy, McClure was observed speeding on U.S. 150 by a trooper. He attempted to flee, pulling into an apartment complex near Stanford. When troopers found McClure, they also located a bottle containing what appeared to be methamphetamine.

From that arrest, McClure faces charges of: possession of a controlled substances, first degree, methampethamine; speeding 26 miles an hour over the limit; fleeing or evading police, second degree, in a motor vehicle; operating a motor vehicle under the influence; failure to produce an insurance card; and not being in possession of a license, or not showing his license.

He is lodged in the Lincoln County Regional Jail.

Also in Boyle County Circuit Court on Tuesday

• Rahjon Neal, 26, a former Northpoint Training Center officer accused of bringing “Spice” into the facility on July 21 when he was employed there, was arraigned by Judge Darren Peckler. Neal is out on bond.

• Ryan Hundley, 32, a former police officer who is facing charges of wanton endangerment, fourth-degree assault and terroristic threatening, appeared in court. Hundley is out on bond.

• Brian Lainhart, 51, facing charges of kidnapping, assault, fleeing or evading police and wanton endangerment of a police officer, appeared in court. He has been lodged in the Boyle County Detention Center since his arrest on Aug. 12.

Lainhart is accused of kidnapping a former girlfriend, threatening her life and cutting her with a knife as she attempted to jump from his moving vehicle. He remains lodged in the Boyle County Detention Center.

• Bobby Cassady, 29, was in court on Tuesday. He is facing 22 counts of first-degree unlawful transaction with a minor under 18; one count of first-degree unlawful transaction with a minor under 16; one count of of promoting a sexual performance by a minor under the age of 18; one count of possessing or viewing matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor; and two counts of first-degree sexual abuse.

Commonwealth’s Attorney Richie Bottoms told Peckler that they anticipate having a response from a federal prosecutor within the next few months. He is expected to return on Jan. 2.
