KSD plans annual Pancake, Sausage Day Friday
Kentucky School for the Deaf will hold its annual Pancake and Sausage Day on Friday, Nov. 10 at Grow Hall Cafeteria on the KSD campus. Doors open at 6:30 A.M. for pancakes, sausage, eggs, juice, fruit and milk or coffee. There will be a Live Auction from 9 to 11 a.m. Silent Auction ends at 1:15 p.m.
Eat, visit, bid on silent and live auction items. Find holiday gifts, crafts and more. Drawings for cash prizes every hour and raffle drawings at 1:30 p.m. Breakfast tickets – $6 for adults; $3 for children 3-6, children 2 and under free. Breakfast tickets and raffle tickets may be purchased at the door. Sponsors are KSD Charitable Foundation, Jacobs Hall Museum and KSD Alumni Association. Proceeds benefit KSD students.
Wellness Center hosting Medicare education class
Are you confused when it comes to your Medicare options? McDowell Wellness Center can help with the “Medicare Defined” class.
The interactive class covering Medicare basics will be taught by Richard Manarchy. Participants will learn about Medicare Parts A, B, C and D, who is eligible, coverage options, enrollment times, and what to do next. In addition, participants will learn about CMS changes for the 2018 plan year.
Participants can choose to attend the class on Thursday, Nov. 30 from 9 to 10 a.m. or 5 to 6 p.m. There is no cost for the class.
