I just want to give a big thank-you to our Danville Boyle County Senior Center for the many good things they have to offer. They have the seniors for lunch, even picking them up and taking them home. When I asked the people if they enjoyed their lunch they all have positive things to say.

They offer crafts, etc. or they can just visit with one another. Sometimes there is entertainment such as gospel music. They have line dancing, square dancing, meetings and many activities.

They also take various trips. They have adult care five days a week and the people who work with these seniors do a great job. They have several groups playing cards in the afternoon and on Tuesday nights they also have card playing. They take people to doctor’s and dentist’s appointments, lab work, etc.

The center is a pleasant place to be and the people who work there are so courteous and nice. The director does a good job and they have made many improvements such as new flooring, painting, new tables and chairs, etc. They always have it decorated for the various seasons and holidays. I’m sure there are many things I haven’t mentioned. If you want to get out and be sociable and have fun, just come to the Senior Center on Jean Drive.
