Astera Raney Readnour

1944-2017

Astera Raney Readnour, 73, of Moreland passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2017. Born March 23, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Otha Clarence and Gertrude May Lee Raney. 

She was a Licensed Practical Nurse, a pastor’s wife and a member of Hustonville Baptist Church. 

Astera is survived by her husband of 54 years, Bro. Paul Clay Readnour; three sons: Ron (Jullienne) Readnour of Mercer County, Doug (Kathryn) Readnour of Boyle County and Tim Readnour of Boyle County; two brothers, Teddy Raney of Florida and Paul Raney of Garrard County; four sisters: Virginia Grubbs of Danville, Nancy Clem of Alabama, Margaret Shockley of Richmond and Sheila Lear of Lincoln County; ten grandchildren: Audrie, Abigail, Paige, Kayla, Aaron, Emily, Madison, Lily, Noah and Daisy; and one great grandchild, RJ. 

Services will be at 11 am, Saturday at Hustonville Baptist Church by Bro. Andrew McGinnis with burial in Hustonville Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers are the grandchildren. Visitation is 6-9 pm, Friday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home. Guestbook is available at www.wlpruitt.com.
