Correction
A story in Thursday’s Advocate-Messenger incorrectly identified who would be demolishing the old Sutton’s restaurant building. The property owner has a company under contract to demolish it, not the City of Danville.
Code Enforcement Director Bridgette Lester said Thursday that Coastal Advertising Company Inc. has contracted with MAS Excavating for the demolition, meaning the city will not have to spend money on the demolition or place a lien on the condemned property.
