Harrodsburg man arrested after threatening others with gun

A Harrodsburg man was arrested Saturday night after he was involved in a verbal altercation while armed at the parking lot of the Applebee’s in Danville.

Alfred Shane Briscoe, 22, was arrested by the Danville Police Department, according to a release from the department. Witnesses claimed Briscoe made threats toward victims at the restaurant, pointing the gun at them, after the verbal altercation at 11:45 p.m.

Danville Police Chief Tony Gray said Briscoe had left the scene but was later located in Harrodsburg, and working with the Harrodsburg Police Department through the BACKUPPS system, they were able to take him into custody.

He is lodged in the Boyle County Detention Center, facing charges of wanton endangerment in the first degree, terroristic threatening in the third degree and menacing.
