Several families and friends gathered Wednesday evening at Danville Morning Pointe Senior Living & Memory Care to honor their loved ones living with Alzheimer’s or dementia, or those who have passed away from the disease. In their honor, 224 luminaries representing these residents cared for by Morning Pointe in the Bluegrass region flickered with light in front of the facility on Perryville Road. The purple lights represent the 16 Alzheimer’s residents currently living at Morning Pointe in Danville.
