Norman E. Terhune


Norman E. Terhune, 81, formerly of Waterworks Road, Danville, died Sunday, December 10, 2017. Born June 20, 1936 in Boyle County, he was the son of the late James and Hazel Lovett Terhune. Norman graduated from Junction City High School in 1955. He was the widower of Sandy Owens Terhune whom he cared for with love and dignity in sickness and in health for the last thirteen years of her life. Norman worked at Whirlpool Corporation, later Matsushita Floor Care. He loved to fish, anytime or anywhere and was an avid UK Wildcat basketball fan. He loved country music and for many years played bass guitar in a country music band. Norman is survived by his son, David (Teresa) Terhune of Cleveland, Tennessee; three grandchildren, Garrett, Adam and Alec Terhune; a sister, Ann Gayle Terhune (Carlos) Garza of Glendale, Ca. and a brother, Lyndel Terhune of St. Augustine, Fla.

The funeral service will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Stith Funeral Home, Junction City. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service. The online guestbook is available at
