Perryville parade rescheduled
The Perryville Christmas parade will be 6 p.m. Friday night. Line up will begin at 5:30 p.m. Following the parade will be the city’s Christmas tree lighting.
DAR To present Wreaths Across America
The Daughters of the American Revolution, St. Asaph Chapter, will present on Saturday, Dec. 16 Wreaths Across America. The St. Asaph Chapter will lay a wreath on the monument in front of the Boyle County Courthouse at 10 a.m. This is in conjunction with the wreath laying ceremony at Arlington Cemetery in Washington, D.C. Rod Bradshaw will be the speaker. We who are present will read the names of those honored with the monument. We will read all 77 names. Please be with us as we honor our war dead.
‘Retired, Not Expired’ calendars now available
The “Retired, Not Expired” calendars, featuring residents of McDowell Place of Danville are now on sale. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Danville-Boyle County Senior Citizens Center. The calendars cost $12 each and can be purchased at McDowell Place, Danville-Boyle County Senior Citizens Center, Ephraim McDowell Auxiliary Gift Shop, A Lasting Impression and Bluegrass Drug Store.
