Nola Grider Carman
1933-2018
Nola Grider Carman, 84 of Lancaster, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, January 10, 2018.
Born December 23, 1933, in Garrard County, she was the daughter of the late Willie Macie Sowder Grider and Jessie Clay Grider. She was a member of the Forks of Dix River Baptist Church and a graduate of Camp Dick Robinson High School. Nola was an award winning Stanley Home Products Dealer/Supervisor for 30 years. She was a loving wife, mother, and friend who was well known for her caring acts of kindness and was a blessing to all around her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Eugene Carman; and her brother Curtis (Dorthy) Grider.
Her survivors include three daughters, Charlotte (Johnny) Denny of Lancaster, Patricia (Gary) Richardson of Junction City, and Janet (Lanny) Ray of Lancaster; nine grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home, 315 Richmond Street, Lancaster, KY.
Funeral services will be held on January 17, at Ramsey-Young funeral home at 11:00 a.m., with Bro. Jerry Browning, Bro. Bill Rhodus and Bro. Cole Caven officiating, followed by burial services at Danville Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Richardson, Justin and Jessie Ray, and John, Jeremiah, Jacob and Jordan Denny. Honorary Pallbearers will be Lara Naylor, Sara Runyun, Johnny, Larry, and Gerry Carman, Clifford Hegerman, Ray Jonica, Braxton Sowder, and Dennis Hasty.
