1943-2018
Duane Hall, age 74, husband of Dru Dyer Hall of Harrodsburg, died Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Baptist Health Hospital in Lexington.
Born February 6, 1943, in Bedford, IN, he was the son of Jesse and Olivia (Wray) Hall. He received his BS degree in Mechanical Engineering at Tri State College in Angola, IN, was a retired employee of Corning Glass Works with over 50 years of service, he loved to go fishing, selling and buying guns, listening to country music, traveling, enjoyed being with his children and grandchildren and was a faithful member of the Harrodsburg Church of Christ.
Survivors other than his wife include: two daughters, Denise (Greg) Howard and Dawn Hall both of Harrodsburg; three grandchildren, Olivia Hall of Louisville, Amanda and Alyssa Howard both of Harrodsburg.
He was preceded in death by a son, Darryn Hall and his step-father John E. Childers.
Funeral services were conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Sims Funeral Services by Keith Greer, minister of the Harrodsburg Church of Christ. Graveside services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 15, 2018 at the Dyer Family Cemetery in Jackson County, TN with burial following in the family cemetery.
Visitation was Friday, January 12, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, January 13, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Sims Funeral Services in Harrodsburg.
Pallbearers were: David Noel, Greg Howard, Billy Releford, Jackie Freeman, Buddy Shirley, and Scott Releford. Honorary bearers were: Stanley Tatum, Ron Leasure, Chris Clark, and Bobby Bishop.
