Geneva graduated from Parksville High School and was a member of Parksville Christian Church. She retired from Whirlpool Corporation and enjoyed being involved with her family. She loved to sew and often found solace sewing in the evenings after a long day of work. Geneva made a confirmation dress for her granddaughter and then altered it to be used by her great-granddaughters. She is remembered for speaking her mind however, always welcoming her entire family into her home for meals and gatherings. She and Truman were very devoted to caring for each other, each doing tasks that helped the other. Despite the struggles with memory late in her life, she could still beat everyone she played in a game of gin rummy.

Survivors include her son, Danny Wayne Glasscock (Mary Lou Hamilton), daughter, Mary Lou Mayes (Dickie), grandchildren, Scott Glasscock, Dana Blair, Nicole Glasscock, Chris Whitehouse, Jennifer Bodner, Stephen Mayes, 19 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, sister, Helen Price, sisters-in-law, Anne Culton and June Holderman.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two infant children, Juanita Kay and Dwight Hays Glasscock and eight siblings, Thelma May, Crystal Gregory, Anna Thompson, Catherine Thompson, Eugene, Thomas, Dan and Robert Culton.

The funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday January 31, 2018 at Perryville Christian Church with Frank Preston officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday January 30, 2018 from 4 – 8:00 p.m. at the church.

Pallbearers will be Rusty and Adam Blair, Scott and Eli Glasscock, Chris and Gavin Whitehouse, Stephen Mayes, Avery and Austin Bodner and Hayden Kelley.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions to Parksville Christian Church, or the Joni Wilder Scholarship Fund.
