When the Boyle County High School FFA Greenhouse opened its annual sale to the public on Wednesday, agriculture science teacher and FFA advisor Toni Myers said they sold 100 ferns of the 225 they have ready to go. On Thursday, Myers said it was more quiet around the greenhouse, so students were able to finish transplanting the remaining seedlings and organize the trays of thousands of plants they have grown. Myers said this year they have more varieties of petunias, and lots of cool crop vegetables such as spinach, broccoli, cabbage and kale. There are also flowering baskets, tomato plants, and lots of flowers
The sale runs 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays. The sale ends May 18. The greenhouse is located on BCHS campus in front of the football stadium.
