The Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Walk in Danville was held Sunday afternoon. Despite the chilly rain more than 125 people participated in the three hour event where the crowd walked to four venues and heard civil rights songs and excerpts from some of Dr. King’s famous speeches, and a biography of Mrs. Coretta Scott King.
Below, Michael Hughes shares his memories of participating in the 1964 March on Frankfort.
More photos from the event will be in Tuesday’s Advocate-Messenger.
