Garden Ornament class, 10-11:30 a.m. May 12 at Boyle County Extension Office, 99 Corporate Drive. Taught by Mary Hixson, Garrard County Agent for Family and Consumer Sciences, Cost is $5. Participants must register by Friday, May 4 by calling Extension Office. Class size is limited to 15 participants. Join us to make a Garden Ornament “Tower” using vintage glassware. Participants will have the option to use glassware they bring from home or use the glassware that is provided. A large plate is needed for the bottom foundation. Modern Dance for Adults, through Tuesday at the Kitty Baird Center, 815 Roy Arnold Boulevard, Danville. No experience necessary; approach is about natural movement to build strength and grace. Lunch with the Arts – Soreyda Begley, fashion designer, noon-1 p.m. May 16 at CAC, Danville.  Begley is a Lexington-based designer and community activist. She is originally from Honduras and has lived in the United States for over 18 years.
