Dear Editor,

This letter is to make the plea to our voters to mark the box for Rita Douglas, jailer for Boyle County.

I had the opportunity to hear Rita speak on her plans for enhancing not only the jail itself, but to create numerous opportunities for incarcerated men and women. With her experience at Northpoint prison, she has had the opportunity to work with up to 500 prisoners. She created numerous cases of leading and participating in programs that were very beneficial to the inmates. One of those was “Mutts With Manners.” This is an ongoing and very successful program. She has seen the results of her programs and I believe she will be able to do likewise in our jail.

It is imperative that everybody go to the polls on May 22, 2018, and while there, cast your vote for Rita Douglas for Boyle County Jailer to make a difference in our community.
