The Kentucky High School Athletic Association confirmed a bevy of changes to the alignment of football teams in the state of Kentucky on Wednesday.

Below are the changes for each area team. Changes are for the 2019-22 seasons.

Danville

The Admirals stay in Class 2A but move from District 7 to District 4 with just one change in opponents.

Washington County joins Danville, Somerset and Lexington Christian Academy in Middlesboro’s place.

Boyle County

The Rebels take a step up from Class 3A to Class 4A, and will bring rival Lexington Catholic with them to the new class.

Anderson County and Bourbon County join Boyle and Lexington Catholic in Class 4A, District 5.

Garrard County

Garrard County will stay in Class 3A, moving from District 4 to District 5.

District five will be one of just four districts in the state, regardless of class, with six members.

The Golden Lions will be joined by Bell County, Estill County, Jackson County, McCreary Central and Rockcastle County.

Lincoln County

The Patriots move down from Class 5A to Class 4A, where they’ll be in District 7 with Corbin, Knox Central and Wayne County.

Mercer County

Mercer County gets a move down to Class 3A from Class 4A. The Titans will play in District 4 with Christian Academy of Louisville, DeSales, Henry County and Western Hills.

Casey County

Casey County stays in Class 3A but moves from District 8 to District 2. The Rebels of Liberty will play in a district with Adair County, Glasgow, Hart County and Taylor County.
