Danville Health, Rehabilitation having open house

Danville Centre for Health and Rehabilitation, 642 N. Third St.,  will be hosting an open house 2-4 p.m. June 5. The public is invited to stop in for complimentary food and a make-your-own sundae bar, as well as partake in tours of the facility.  

5K run/walk in Stanford on Memorial Day

STANFORD — At 8:30 a.m. on Memorial Day (Monday, May 28) a 5K run/walk, an annual event in downtown Stanford hosted by the Stanford Lions Club. The event benefits diabetes prevention. The race costs $20, and can be registered for online at runsignup.com/Race/KY/Stanford/TheMarchingAnt5K, or at Fox & Friend Funeral Home, 312 W. Main St. Race day check-in will be 7:30-8:15 a.m. at the Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce, 201 E. Main St. Following the race, an awards ceremony will take place on the steps at the Lincoln County courthouse. Community potluck on June 9

Rockyford Masonic Lodge #765 will host a friend to friend community pot luck meal on Saturday, June 9. Meal begins at 5:30 p.m. and participants are asked to bring a dish to share. The lodge is located on Ky. 78 West, 9 miles from Hustonville.   

Hustonville Class of 1973 reunion

Hooves of Hope Golf Scramble fundraiser

Hooves of Hope Equestrian Center will have a golf scramble tournament at Old Bridge Golf Club in Danville on Saturday, June 2 at 9 a.m.  Contact Rhonda at (859) 792-8938 or email us at rhonda.hoovesofhope@aol.com if you are interested in participating.  All funds raised will go to maintain and expand our current facility.

Boyle County Architectural Heritage Board —special called meeting, 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 23 at city hall conference room. Items on the agenda include: election of officers; certificates of appropriateness for part one of a two-part request by Sister Cities Commission for a mural to be on 135 North Second St. building, with design to be created for approval after approval of location; and 320 West Main St., Trinity Episcopal Church for three projects, 1) window restoration, 2) replace guttering and downspouts and cover existing wood with aluminum, 3) cover the wood on the steeple with aluminum; and staff approved COA for 235 West Main St., Posh apparel vinyl sign.
Housing Authority of Danville – 8 a.m., Tuesday, May 22, 1014 Rosemont Ave. The agenda for the special board meeting includes: approval of changes to Employee Health Benefits.
Boyle County Agency for Substance Abuse Policy (ASAP) – 8:30 a.m., Friday, May 25, at in the lower level conference room of the Boyle County Health Department, South 3rd Street, Danville. All interested persons are invited to attend ASAP meetings.
