Good things come in threes
Reda Barnett has been farming for 50 years, and has never seen a cow give birth to three calves at the same time until May 30. On Wednesday, one of Barnett’s cows had triplets on her registered Angus farm in Northern Garrard County. The odds of a cow having triplets is one in 400,000. The three calves weigh approximately 30-35 pounds each, and are active but small. This triplet-event follows one of Barnett’s cows giving birth to a set of twins on May 6.
