Beatrice Begley Bottom

1929-2018

Beatrice Begley Bottom, 88, passed away Thursday May 31, 2018. She was born July 16, 1929, in Lebanon, Ky., a daughter of the late Lewis and Lena Burns Begley. She was the wife of the late Edward Bottom who passed in 1998.

Beatrice was a seamstress with the former Palm Beach Company. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and enjoyed UK sports. She also enjoyed playing horseshoes and bowling.

Survivors include two children, Phyllis Wright and Edward Lynn (Christeen) Bottom; eight grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and 10 great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Beatrice was preceded in death by a son, James Richard “Rick” Bottom; son-in-law, Larry Wright; two brothers, Otha Reed Begley and Clifford Begley; and a sister, Pauline Alsip.

The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Monday June 4, 2018 at Walden Funeral Home, Perryville with Bro. Jami Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 – 7:00 p.m., Sunday, June 3, 2018.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Bottom, Michaela Montgomery, Justin Yeast, Joey Peyton, Jeff May and Damon Norris. Honorary bearers will be Tim Morris and Bobby Joe Wheeler.
