Jessie Dennis Grigsby

1929-2018

Jessie Dennis Grigsby, 88, of Hustonville, Ky., passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville. 

Born November 13, 1929, in Anderson County, Ky., she was a daughter of the late Ben and Elsie Holt Dennis, and the widow of the late Paschel “Pack” Grigsby. She was a retired employee of both Palm Beach Inc. and Winter Haven Senior High School in Winter Haven, Fla. She sang with the Gospel Messengers Trio for 15 years and was a member of South Fork Baptist Church where she sang in the church choir. 

Survivors include her son, Ted Grigsby (Sheila) of Stanford, Ky.; one sister, Bonnie Denham of Stanford, Ky.; one granddaughter, Alison Grigsby; and two great-grandchildren, Austin Grigsby, and Cole Smith. 

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Edwin, Charles, and Bennie Dennis. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 6, 2018 from 5-9 p.m. at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel, Stanford. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, June 7, 2018 at the funeral home with Bro. Matt Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Buffalo Springs Cemetery in Stanford.
